Outpost Worldwide Shoots “Dogs of Eden” Promo

A cinema HD production crew from Outpost Worldwide recently shot an on-location promo for a new indie film - “Dogs of Eden.”

“Dogs of Eden” is written and created by Marcia Cubelska of Topeka, KS, and produced and directed by Chuck Cranston of Telemark Pictures. Authentic location setting was Western Frontier Adventure in Easton, Kansas.

Based on real characters and events, “Dogs of Eden” is a dramatic story of frontier hardships, survival, and cultural confrontation in pre-civil war Kansas. The story follows five people of mixed race drawn together by ideology and torn by war, whose lives become tangled with cross cultural friendships,love, and disappointment as they desperately try to find opportunity and freedom.

A large group of people came together to make production of the promo possible, and we thank each and every person for their hard work and patience. In particular, we’d like to thank Larry and Rob “Cowboy” Culbertson with Western Frontier Adventure, who provided the location, lots of re-enactors, horses and plenty of props.

Outpost Worldwide and Telemark Pictures teamed up previously on production of the independent film, “Through Martha’s Eyes.”

Willmott’s “Bunker Hill” Screened in NYC, Mass.

“Bunker Hill,” the new independent feature film from writer/director Kevin Willmott (CSA: Confederate States of America) will be screened before audiences at New York University in New York City on Wednesday, October 8, and open the 10th Anniversary Season of The Williamstown Film Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts on Friday, October 17, 2008.

Outpost Worldwide is proud to have provided production support in the making of “Bunker Hill.”

The provocative film stars Emmy and Peabody Award winner James McDaniel (NYPD Blue); Laura Kirk, star and co-writer of the acclaimed feature film Lisa Picard is Famous; and Saeed Jaffrey the legendary actor from India who has starred in more than 150 films.

What would happen if 9/11 happened again? Bunker Hill is the story of a former Wall Street executive who leaves prison and heads for the small town of Bunker Hill, Kansas, where his ex-wife and their children have started a new life. Soon after he arrives, an apparent massive terrorist attack against America darkens the town. Cut off from the world, the town’s militant past is reawakened and forces coalesce to protect citizens from an unseen enemy. The town’s fear leads to the creation of a posse of gunmen, resulting in torture, illegal searches and eventually, murder. Civil liberties and justice itself hang in the balance as the town must decide whether to embrace freedom or fear.

“Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula” A Winner At Film Festivals

The action/horror film, “Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula,” picked up top awards at the 2008 Fright Night Film Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, carrying home “Best of Fest” and “Best Actor” for Trent Haaga. Outpost Worldwide is production partner in the film that is creating excitement at film festivals.

This original screenplay combines the rough and tumble world of 1930’s era gangster movies with the violent gothic atmosphere of a classic horror film. When a robbery goes bad and one of their companions is shot, Bonnie & Clyde are forced to seek help at the mansion of the crazed Dr. Loveless. But Loveless has a secret. Deep in his cellar, the recently revived Dracula awaits.

Tiffany Shepis portrays Bonnie. Shepis is the star of many horror films made in the USA and in Europe, and she has recently been on the cover of Fangoria and Horror Mania magazines. Her work includes Nightmare Man, released by Lionsgate as one of the 2007 After Dark Film Festival’s 8 Films to Die For. Trent Haaga portrays Clyde. His industry work includes acting in numerous horror films, most recently appearing in Living & Dying with Michael Madsen.

Big Atom Productions, LLC is led by husband and wife team, producer Jennifer Friend and writer-director, Timothy Friend.

More Wins for “Rigged”

“Rigged” - Jonathan Dillon’s drama about a young woman who brawls in underground mixed martial arts bouts and her unscrupulous manager — has won two prestigious indie film awards: Best cinematography at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Monrovia, California, and the grand jury award for best picture at the Dances With Films Festival in Santa Monica.

“Rigged” was shot by Hanuman Brown-Eagle, and is being celebrated for wonderfully kinetic fight scenes. Outpost Worldwide is collaborator and production partner in the film.

“They only select 11 features into the Dances With Films fest from a countless amount submitted,” Dillon said. “To even be in the festival was an honor, and to win the grand jury is beyond words.”

“The Barber’s Diaries” Moves Forward

The made-for-television documentary and motion picture project - The Barber’s Diaries - is moving forward at increasing speed. Director and screenwriter Kevin Willmott (”CSA: Confederate States of America” and “Bunker Hill“) has joined the project. Emmy Award winning journalist and writer David Henderson is involved along with Outpost Worldwide, the production company.

The Barber’s Diaries is the true story of Charles Ellis, a black barber who secretly expressed his thoughts, philosophy, theology and world view throughout an era of dynamic racial change in America, from the 1920s through the civil rights movement.

“Rigged” Wins at Indie Film Festivals
