Outpost Worldwide is a leader in cinema-quality high definition (HD) video production, and production of corporate and environmental videos. Located in the center of the fast-developing Indy film and HD production community in Middle America, Outpost Worldwide can satisfy the demands of the highest industry standards.

Equipped with five Panasonic Cinema HD Varicams and all the support gear, our seasoned crews are on the road constantly across the country, shooting for premier televisions channels, including The History Channel, A&E and Discovery. It is also common for us to be shooting music videos on HD that find a home on the top ten videos on CMT.

Michael Wunsch, president of Outpost Worldwide and hands-on HD shooter/director believes the key is maintaining a resource of the the right shooting gear on the higher end of the spectrum to differentiate from the majority of regional companies … combined with a strong team of producers, directors, videographers, sound techs, engineers, grips and support people who eat, sleep and shoot video with a “passion.”

With an intense Midwest work ethic, Outpost Worldwide crews have filmed in most states across the U.S. and on five continents.

Equipped with a fleet of grip and lighting trucks, HMI’s, generators, jibs, dollies, cranes, and literally tons of support gear, Outpost Worldwide is at home on location up to the scale of an Indy feature or high-end music video or stage performance.

Over the years, big location shoots have included a seven-camera shoot with Waylon Jennings and Friends for Sony Records at the Ryman in Nashville, various Indy features including the recent production of Last Ounce of Courage, and a 50 program series for YMCTV City Sessions shot in LA, NYC, Nashville and Dallas. In addition, Outpost Worldwide has a full broadcast studio operation in Miami for Fremantle Media taping a daily version of Family Feud for network TV in Spanish as well as Spanish shows “Dame la Pista,” “Criticos,” “El Sotano,” and “Movie Traxx.”

Back home at headquarters in KC, Outpost has installed a new HD post production infrastructure that includes an AVID Symphony Nitris DX suite, an Avid Media Composer Nitris DX suite, portable cutting stations, Pro-Tools HD with 5.1 Surround and 8 Terabytes of Avid Unity shared media storage.

We also have a portable 10-bit digital HD recording system driven by Final Cut Pro with 5 terabytes of storage for location HD recording on Indy features and music videos. In addition we also drive projects through Final Cut Pro HD systems designed to be utilized anywhere in the U.S.
To add extra eye candy to all our projects, we have a talented computer graphics and visual effects team of artists in Kansas City.
